The Change machine will give out tokens to use in our wash bays in the following amounts: $6, $10 and $20
The Change machine does not accept notes, and only dispenses tokens.
No matter which payment method you use, you get 1 min 30 sec of wash for each $1 you spend.
Coinless Mobile App
With Coinless, your car wash experience just got easier. Pay for your wash, collect loyalty rewards, learn about specials, view receipts, and communicate with the car-wash owner - all from the convenience of your phone.
NB. The Coinless Mobile App has a pre authorisation amount of $16 each time it is used. Unused funds are returned to your account overnight.

Automatic Car Wash Unit
Big Dave's is proud to offer Kaiapoi the services of a touch free PDQ LaserWash unit.
This world leading automatic car wash unit from USA cleans your vehicle with the use of smart chemical application and high pressure water.
To purchase washes for the automatic carwash, please use your credit, debit or eftpos card at the wash unit activation stand to the right of the entrance.
Self Serve Bays
At Big Dave's, we offer you the best value for money for self-serve washing in the greater Canterbury region.
The site provides you the latest services offerings from the iWash self-serve equipment from Australia with an all active chemical application (no coloured water here), state-of-the-art equipment, and the best value of time for your money.
Big Dave's provides you with real bang for you buck.
The water used to wash your vehicle has been through a water softener, to improve the wash quality.
We also have the option of Spot Free Rinse. At Big Dave's there is a Reverse Osmosis water filtration unit, that is used to remove the majority of the dissolved solids out of the water. These dissolved solids are what leave the white spots on your car if you leave water to dry on your vehicle surfaces.
The use of the Spot Free Rinse will greatly reduce the chances of white spots appearing on your freshly cleaned vehicle.
Additional Services
Big Dave's also provides vacuums and a selection of car care products, all are available for purchase with tokens or $1 and $2 coins.
NB. Big Dave's is not associated with the Mobil site across the forecourt, or the dog wash. These are separately owned and operated businesses.

- You are towing a Trailer
- You have Loose Body Panels
- You have Bike Racks
- You have Extended External Protrusions
- You have Pre Existing damage, faded or cracked paint work

Big Dave's Carwash is a touch free wash and involves water sprayed at high pressure.
CCTV cameras are in use 24/7. Big Dave's Carwash is not responsible for any incident caused by failure to follow the instructions.
